Hi all

I have a HP Envy Touchsmart 15-j042x notebook pc

http://www8.hp.com/au/en/products/laptops/product-detail.html?oid=5442467&jumpid=reg_r1002_auen_c-001_title_r0002#!tab=specs

It is a relatively new laptop!
The other day i decided i'd had enough of the GT740M's performance so i decided to invest in money to buy a kit for an eGPU (external GPU) from here :

http://www.hwtools.net/Adapter/PE4H.html

I've got it all hooked up with a 450W PSU to my R9 270x (which is hooked up to the PE4H adapter) and the mini HDMI (i think it is?!) hooked up to the mPCIe connector, which in turn is connected to the mPCIe slot in my laptop, where my wireless card used to be.

Now that's all good BUT my problem is the fact that my GPU is not being detected by my laptop, at all! it is not showing up in device manager as it should.. Anyhow i did some research and the only feasible reason as to why this is happening is because my laptop's mPCIe slot might be 'whitelisted'

Other than that i honestly have no clue as to what i can do. Any help would be well appreciated.

edit: The fans on the GPU are running fine and the LEDs on both the adapters are lit up correctly.
