AMD or Intel gaming PC

I am thinking of getting a new gaming PC and I found these 2 builds that I liked from NCIX. I dont know which one is the best for gaming and mby recording. I would like to have one that would last for ever and a PC that can play modern games like Battle field 4 and so on.

I like the i5 for longevity. And the amd for multithread games that run 6 cores or more

FOR budget build AMD for a go and for a open fund around 1k$ intel will do much better in gaming!

Intel has very good Single Core performance. AMD has more cores but not all cores are being used in most of games. Maybe in the near future but yeah I5 :)
