I was just curious if this will give me excellent performance on any game I throw at it and any next-gen title. I want this to be somewhat future-proof so I wouldn't have to upgrade for a long time. I will be playing games such as Minecraft, Counter-Strike: GO, Crysis 3, Battlefield 4, Planetside 2, etc. If you have any better builds you could recommend me to have, please post. My budget is $1000 but I will be willing to spend an extra $100 if needed. I would like the OS to be included as well.

This is what I have so far:

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor ($179.99 @ Microcenter)
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: PNY 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($57.99 @ Best Buy)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($399.99 @ Amazon)
Wireless Network Adapter: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter ($19.95 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($53.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: XFX 650W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.74 @ Amazon)
Total: $1011.61

if you want to focus on good fps with high quality dont listen to this guy. Yes it is helpful but with games storage only affects load times for the most part. You have a nice build but if you truly want to destroy all those games go intel.

You might want to add at least 120gb SSD for OS and games installation drive for faster load times on gaming and programs you frequently use, and also a decent CPU Cooler, try CM hyper 212 Evo.

Oh I totally forgot about the Hyper 212 Evo! I will be sure to include that in my build.

For a good ssd look at the Kingston 3k, Samsung Evo/Pro or Corsair Neutron/Force. You don't really need that much space on an ssd to put the OS on so just get a small ssd if you're only going to put the OS on it.
