Hi! What I am trying to do is lower/tweak the fan speed for the Gigabyte R9 280x and FX8350 to a point they are still on recommended temperature.

Gigabyte R9 280x (Bios F31): I have OC Guru II installed and the auto function keeps the GPU at 60-65°C in demanding games but the noise is too high.
Is it recommended to tweak it and let the GPU reach a higher temperature? If yes, what temperature?

Fx8350: I do not have any related software for the CPU and I do not know how much of the noise is produced by the CPU. Can you please recommend a free related software?

Hello,

You can ease the fan speed on the gigabyte card. If it reaches over 85*C, than you can start worrying.
I would say ease up the fans as much as that the card hangs around 70*C or a bit higher when playign very demanding games.

As for a cpu related software, try googling "Speedfan". It allows you to see the noice and temperature of your cpu and allows you to alter it if I remember right.

Hope this helps^^
