Spending $180 on a 7850 is WAY too much. You can get those for $140 easy. If you are still in the $180 segment though, you might want to look at the R9 270. (non-X) It's pretty much a 7870 with a new name.

That, and the power supply should cost half that much for that much power, allowing you to up the graphics card to an R9 270X or maybe a GTX 760 for more or less the same total price.

Edit: Granted these are U.S. prices... if Australia's parts are that much more expensive... I'd still suggest trying to get up to a 7870 or R9 270, but it's a pretty good build.

You want a 970 chipset motherboard for the FX series.

I haven't heard anything about that Asus monitor ghosting a lot. Asus is one of leading monitor manufacturer. They make great monitors, just as good as BenQ.

Thank you for the help everyone, should these specs be able to run games such as Far Cry 3, Dead Island Riptide, BF4 quite easily? I know I may have to turn down BF4 to medium or so, but what about the others? I'll be playing loads of games, these are just the types that I enjoy.
