System Shuts Down When Loading Battlefield 4

Thermaltake Smart M Series 750W 80 Plus Bronze
Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD
Intel Core i5-3570K Quad-Core Processor 3.4 GHz 4 Core LGA 1155
MSI NVidia GeForce GTX 760 OC 2 GB GDDR5
Gigabyte Intel 277 LGA 1155 Dual UEFI BIOS ATX Motherboard GA-277-DS3H
Gamma Classic Series ATX Mid Tower Interior Steel Chassis

The rig is about two months old and recently it has started to shutdown in the middle of a match in BF4. I took caution and made sure all fans were working properly and it was in a cool, open space. This worked for a while, I could play all day without it shutting down. But now it shuts down before I even get in a game every time. And sometimes it will shutdown randomly (once while logging into Windows, once while searching for fixes).
I have checked the CPU temp in the BIOS right after a reboot and it was at 28C. My fans are running fine at 1300 rpm each. I have opened it up and reseated the Graphics Card, the RAM, and power to the Graphics, still no change.

either your gpu or your cpu overheats. i suspect the gpu.

What temp is your GPU at? Have you done a Memtest?

I suspect the PSU, though.

get a gpu temp monitor see what it reaches. after that it's trial and error... easiest is to remove the gpu and leave just the onboard graphics and see if you still have problems

GPU temp is 29C. Ill startup a game and see if it jumps higher.

Ok it shutdown again. I watched the CPU and GPU temps. They maxed out at 41C and 33C respectively.

I'd bet on it being your PSU though.

the temps are well within limits. did you try using the onboard graphics and disable the gpu?

Running BF4 for the past 20 minutes or so using onboard graphics with no shutdown. CPU temps are still fine (maxed out at 46C). Looks like the GPU may be the problem.

the psu can be it too. if it can't give out the extra power for the gpu. i suggest you test the gpu in another pc

Mm, that fits with the PSU.

And the PSU is only moderate quality - though it doesn't look like it's a horror.

i feel it's the gpu most likely. it's easy to decide between the 2 anyway. just test the gpu on another pc. if it crashes there too it;s the gpu you just warranty it. if it works ok it's the psu.

Well I found out it is the PSU. Now it likes to shutdown with no GPU in it. Yay the cheaper one is the problem!

Fixing PSUs is a bit of a no-no unless you really know what you're doing and are handy with a soldering iron. Too much high voltage, too tightly packed.
