which version of r9-280x to buy ?!

I can buy either Gigabyte RADEON R9 280X or SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X R9 280X ,both are selling at the exact same price here ,but I can't decide which one to buy ! I know that the main difference between them is the cooling system but again I don't know which is the better one.. ?!
btw I'm buying this card for Autodesk maya and gaming of course ,do you think that at this price point the r9-280x best card for my purposes ?!

Hello,

The Sapphire Vapor-X card runs a bit cooler than the gigabyte version and has more OC potential.
Peformance wise, there is however a -very- small difference between them.

(Sapphire has 9.6 Gb/sec beter buswidth than the Gigabyte version and beter "factory" memory speed without OC. The gigabyte one has 50 mhz beter clockspeed however, but that is rather insignificant).
I would recommend the Sapphire Vapor-X version.

Gigabyte has got a custom cooler as well, it's called : "WINDFORCE™ 3X cooling design" ,That's why it's very hard for me to pick one from them.

The main difference between all of them is the cooling system. Some keep the GPU cooler while some are quieter, so you may not get the best of both worlds. you would have to read up more reviews. But my personal preference is Giabyte. To keep things simple, just buy the cheapest one.

You might want to consider the HD 7970 or the GTX 770 as well. They all have similar performance but they come with different game bundles.

Thank you , the gtx 770 and the hd 7970 are out of my budget thought they have got a very good games collection ! :'(
I believe I will get the gigabyte version since it comes with battlefield 4 unlike the vapour-x version which doen'st come with any games in my country.

That's was very very helpful ,it seems from the comparisons that Gigabyte version runs cooler ,with less noise and even weights less ! since there is no price difference between it and the vapour-x ,I believe I'll go with the gigabyte then.
