I'm looking to buy a GTX 670 OC 2GB Edition separately from the PC. But I'm not sure if the motherboard supports it, I've done research but am still not sure. If the Gigabyte motherboard doesn't support this card then the other option I have is the Asus M5A97 V2. The GeForce website says it needs PCI Express 3.0 and dual slot, This is important as I am ordering soon. Thanks

The GTX 670 is PCI-e 3.0 , but is compatible with your motherboard although the GPU will operate at PCI-e 2.0 specs rather than 3.0 specs. The dual slot aspect simply means that the card takes up two slots of space on the motherboard, which means it would cover the PCI-e x1 slot next to the PCI-e 2.0 x16 slot on the Gigabyte motherboard.
