Fitting air cooler over air cooler

I am being advised to avoid liquid coolers, and for entirely good reasons.

But I still keep coming back to a couple issues.

First off, and most important, I own g skill ram (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231615&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=)

which some people have said won't fit with the Noctua dh 14 in a mid tower arrangement.

I know this depends on the boards so below is a breakdown of my system in progress:

Second: I see benchmarks showing devices like the Kraken x60 running some 10 degrees cooler than the dh14. Of course, I've found other benchmarks that show the differences to be negligible.. it's so hard to trust these tests because who knows the underlying biases of the practitioners. But if I'm intending to overclock, it seems that's when liquid pulls ahead of air, according to liquid supporters..

Noise is an issue, but really peripheral for me. I live in Brooklyn, if it's not a little hum of a fan it's bad music from downstairs, drunk arguments across the hall, or that s$%# eating little lap rat that announces a draft in the building.

Also, when I finally leave this mess of a place to return to the country, I was thinking of throwing a couple nf-f12 fans on the radiator to further drop the sound.

What are your opinions?

RipJaws X definitely fits under the Noctua NH-D14 CPU cooler.

There are many silent fans available that you should look into. They are very good alternatives to liquid cooling. Also, controlling fan speed can reduce noise when unnecessary, so that is something you can look into.

Thank you
