This would be my first time cloning a hard drive. I read a little bit about it, but still some information is unclear to me. My current hard drive is about to stop working, as tests show, and I want to clone it to an external HDD I have before I lose my data. I would then use that external drive to clone another drive that I am currently waiting to be delivered. I want to know, is this possible, i.e. copying my current HDD into an external one and then cloning another HDD which I would put in my current one's place.
Also, my current drive has 2 partitions (not counting the allocated space) and so far I seen that programs allow you to only copy one partition. If you could tell me how exactly I should proceed so that I would have my partitions exactly the way they are right now. If it matters, my external drive has less storage than my current one, but it has enough to allow me to copy my disk.
