Hello.

My current setup is:

CPU: AMD Phenomenon II X3 720
Motherboard: GA MA 790 XT UD4P
GPU: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660Ti
RAM: F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL x2
PSU: Corsair HX750W

I'd like to upgrade to an Intel i5-4570 (3,2gb 6Mb cache) using a GA-B85M-D3H motherboard.

Now a few questions:
- Would I find any issues between these components?
- Would I notice any performance improvements (mainly in gaming)?
- Are there other (better) alternatives (CPU+Motherboard) within he price range of these components (300€/400$)?

Thank you,

Solution
Your current setup you have CPU bottleneck but depending on the game the new setup will be faster and no bottleneck! So in some you will see improvement. I believe you are making good choice in components.

Thank you for your reply.

While double checking the components I realized the motherboard is mATX, I should use an ATX for my case.

Would the GA-B85-HD3 work instead?
