I recently bought a new computer, http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite..., and when I got it, I realized it doesn't have a really great graphics card. So I've been researching graphics cards and found this one, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168.... I would like to know what you guys think about this graphics card. Also the page says 350w power supply recommended, and my psu is only 240w. My case is sff, and im having trouble finding a larger psu. I've thought about upgrading to a larger case, but my motherboard is LPX, and not ATX. It would be really helpful if you left suggestions. Thanx

Can you measure your current psu for better sizing? Something like this might work: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

That graphics card should work nicely, since you can switch it up to low profile.

The dimensions are 5in (w), 5 5/8 in (L), and 3.75 in (H). But its weird, it looks kinda like a stair, and like the bottom left quarter of it is not there.

Huh...weird. Well the one I linked to is smaller than your current one. Could you take a picture maybe? It might be too proprietary of a design to replace.

Isn't it one of these OEM custom form factor PSU's?

It's all dead end BTX standard form factor that was dropped years ago. There is no upgrade.

So....do you think I can power that graphics card safely with the power supply I have now? or is there like an external psu or psu booster I can get? Maybe I should just sell this comp and rebuild one. Any suggestions, I really would like to keep this computer.

On a 240W, I don't think so. Maybe a GT 640 would be a better bet: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CKWho5...

Might be worth it to use a psu calculator and get an exact idea of what you're pulling. You're probably going to be super close. If you really wanna game with a decent card, you're gonna have to get rid of that computer, it's just not up to task.

Will the 640 be able to play BF3 at low-medium?

For sure. I had a GT 640 for about a year, and I was surprised by how well it played games. I played Crysis 2, Assassins Creed III, CSGO, etc and at medium settings found it quite decent.
