Last response: in CPUs

Which of these do you think would give me the best performance for gaming?
I tend to play open-world games as well as BF3, BF4.

I put the intel with the NVidia and the AMD with the Radeon because I have heard that this will boost performance.

Price is not really an issue and will NOT be overclocking anything.

Which will give me the best performance?

Thanks!
Dan.

The best gaming performance is 3570k and 7970 ,don't listen all kind of rumors.

yeah... the rumors are bunk. if anything amd cpus work better with nvidia graphics cards and amd gpus work better with intel cpus...

The 7970 is aobut 15% better then the 760, and the combo of a 8350 and 7970 will probably game a little better then the 3570k and 760... just by a little bit... and it will depend on the game.

He is talking about price as well, I think the OP knows 7970>>760 so FX 8350+7970...in current games there is no difference between fx 8350 and i5-4670k

http://www.hardwarepal.com/batman-arkham-origins-benchm... (batman Arkham Origins fx 8350= i7 4770k after AMD's catalyst release)
single threaded-old games i5 3570k> fx 8350, current moderately threaded games fx 8350=i5 3570k heavily threaded games like crysis 3 fx 8350>i5 3570k
so you want to know my opinion get an fx 8320 save some money on cpu and get r9-290, when you overclock your fx 8320 to 4 ghz it chnages that to r9-290, my rig is currently r9-290+ fx 8350, we run a test with my uncle who has i7-4770k and r9-280x, I will post results in a minute

Yeah, gaming is mainly dependent on the GPU, so take whichever set gets you the best GPU since both of those CPUs are beasts. So the 7970 option.

P.S: Darkresurrection you go hard in the paint on every thread with benchmarks   It's good.

i7-4770k+r9-280, we benched some games, It took us a week, it is worth looking at these benchmarks as well, we benched at 1080p
Metro last Light very high
fx 8350+r9-290= 68.5 fps
i7 4770k+ 280x= 51.8 fps
Bioshock Infinite ultra quality+ DDoF
fx 8350+r9-290= 91.6
i7 4770k+ 280x= 71.4
Battlefield 3 ultra quality+ 4xmsaa
fx 8350+r9-290= 87.4
i7 4770k+ 280x= 71.3
crysis 3 high+fxaa
fx 8350+r9-290= 78.4
i7 4770k+ 280x= 58.6
Bioshock Infinite ultra quality+DDoF
fx 8350+r9-290=91
i7 4770k+ 280x=73
Hitman Absoloution
fx 8350+r9-290=79.8
i7 4770k+ 280x=76.2
Grid 2 Maximum quality+ 4xmsaa
fx 8350+r9-290= 106.6
i7-4770k+280x= 91.7
currently 8320 is for as low as 140$ this way you save 60$ add up this to 300 you want to pay for r9-280x and you have 360$ managing another 40$ to get r9-290 is not anything hard I presume

Hmmm... So what about the i5-3570K with the 7970? Would this be a bit better? I am not really liking the idea of an 8350 as a cpu because I have heard bad things about heat issues.

Also, which companies provide the best GPU coolers? I have heard asus are pretty good, but are there any more?

Thanks!

No heat issues on my end with an 8320... Don't know where you heard that from. The 3570k would perform better in older games. With that GPU you'll be blowing past 60 FPS in them anyway so it doesn't matter. The 8350 and 3570k seem to be pretty on par in modern games, some games edging either way.

The only company I've heard to avoid with high end cards are XFX, though I've personally never had an issue with them. Anything with 2 fans should be decent. Some I like: Powercolor, Asus, Sapphire.

I use 30$ thermalright true spirit120m, on my fx 8350 it is overclocked to 4.5ghz and won't go over 57c here, so no heat issue here either http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/thermalright-true-s...

i5-3570k with the 7970.

I don't see how you can get the FX 8350 and get the 7970 but cant with the 3570k. The FX 8350 is around 15$ cheaper than the 3570k if you're lucky.
