Hi all
Well my system is
Haswell 4470k OCD to 4.6
Asus maximus 5 impact motherboard
8 gig cosair 1600 ram
Gtx780 evga classified acx
Samsung pro ssd 256gb hd
The CPU is under water
Windows 7 fully updated

I got the classified last week and started to play bf4/rome2/batman origins. All was fine until 3 days back. Bf4 and Rome 2 started to crash every 10-/25 mins some times it was Bsod some times my pc just froze so I had to hard reboot other times it crashed to the desktop.

I have tried the nvidia beta drivers and the latest nvidia drivers and still no good. I have also tried a few of the older drivers that use to work and stil no luck . Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I doubt this is a driver or hardware issue. Check your case/ MB temps. The new card is dumping hot air back into the case. In most water systems cooler air is taken from outside across the radiator into the case. With the new card, the case air temps. maybe going to high. Hard to tell whats going on till you try a few things. A quick check is to remove the side panel before you change anything. If the issue is resolved it is a good bet you need to improve the air situation. To do that you may need to bring more cooler air in and remove more case air faster. You could also lower the O.C. as this will lower the amount of heat being handled by the system. From what you describe only the CPU is being actively cooled. With the increase in heat from the more powerful card you may be overheating other components on the MB or the memory modules. In any event first try the open side and also you might lower the O.C. a bit just to see if it improves the issue.

My old gpu was a gtx 680 which ran at 85 degrees in game in the same case and the same set up the motherboard never gets over 40 . The 780 seems to run a good 20 degrees lower according to presicion x and the cosair Linux 2 software. My case is a phantom case I will up the fan speed and see if that helps . Thanks for all the advice all :)

Well after 5 mins of Rome 2 it froze I alt tabbed to windows and afterburner showed my gpu usage went from 45 percent to 99 percent in in 1second and then dropped to 0. The gpu temp was at 44 degrees so it can't be over heating and the fan speed never hit more the 45 percent any other ideas or should I return the gpu?
