Hi,

I was recently given a PC to look at as it wasn't booting up.

Off the top of my head I'm unsure of the spec but have read a number of articles on here that give a list of things to try.

I've disconnected everything from the motherboard, tried taking battery out for a number of hours to reset BIOS, removed RAM etc but still had no luck.

When I switch the system on, the PSU fan starts up and distributes power. Graphics card lights up and fan comes on, motherboard fan comes on but nothing comes up on screen and there are no beeps.

Finally I removed the graphics card which resulted in 3 short beeps.

Do you think it's worth replacing the graphics card?

Any help is appreciated

If you have already gone through this list ( sounds like you have ) then you likely need a PS tester, another GPU and or PS and or CPU to swap out, or at least a volt/ohm meter to verify you have 12volts at the CPU and GPU 4/6 pin connectors. PS's have many rails, most could work and still have a fail. Here is list of PS's too, to see if it is at the bottom of the quality list.
