Hi all. I have overclocked my CPU 2-3 days ago. My CPU is Q6600. My mainboard is Gigabyte EP-45 DS3R. I have set 333x9 = 3 GHz. And my rams 333 x 2.4 = 800 MHz . (I use DDR2 800 mhz ram). Everything was okay. I use prime95 test and there was no problem. Anyway I and my cousen bought HD7850 Gpu card. His system is same as mine. He use Q6600 (I little overclocked his cpu up to 2.7 ghz). And he use 4 gb 800 mhz ram. We play Battlefield 3. After the attact our gpu, my cousen's FPS is better than my fps values. I have 40-55 fps on ultra. He has 50-60 fps. Then I have tested my and his system by 3dmark 11 and scores is very interesting. His 2.7 GHz q6600 has better score than my 3.0 ghz q6600. And the difference very much.

Here the test : http://www.3dmark.com/compare/3dm11/7591155/3dm11/7591150 (left hand side my system)

you'll see more information and scores on test page. Why do I have bad score? I don't understand..

Strange indeed. Your system actually scored higher in all of the graphics tests but not the CPU test which I would expect to be higher. You also have the better chipset between the two boards. There's several possible reasons for this:

- You are running more software in the background which is limiting performance
- You're CPU is overheating and is throttling
- Memory timings?
- FSB speed??? (not sure about this one)

I have look system task manager and there was no software which want high performance. We use same CPU cooler. (Contact21) . I take screenshot on CPU-Z status about memory ;

And FSB,BUS speed on load :

Although you have the same CPU cooler, you will be hotter as you're overclocked higher. It looks like you RAM is at 356x2 = 712MHz, not 800 though the difference shouldn't be too phenomenal. Have you tried running the benchmark at stock config as a comparison? That would be interesting...

My CPU temp is not bad. On load I see max 58 degree. And normally 40 degree. I tried stok config benchmark. It's too bad. Here the stok test : http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7591339

It seems that the physics score is highly dependent on RAM speed so try setting the command rate to 1T if it's stable and increase your RAM speed even if it means lowering your CPU overclock a bit.
