I have recently purchased these parts, and I will be putting them all together this weekend. This is my first build and I was on a budget. As I'm not very experienced at the whole computer business I would appreciate if somebody could enlighten me on what I can expect gaming wise. I'm well aware that my GPU isn't the best, but for my budget it was all I could get. Here's my build:
CPU - FX-6300 (3.5GHz 6 cores 14mb cache) I intend to OC to 3.9 or 4GHz
CPU Cooler - CM Hyper 212 EVO
GPU - ASUS AMD Radeon 7790 2GB directCU II OC
MoBo - MSI AMD 970A-G46
RAM - 4GB Kingston HyperX blu 1600MHz (I'll upgrade to 8GB as soon as I have the money)
HDD - 1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM
PSU - EVGA 500W 500B (80 plus bronze)
Case - Zalman Z11 plus (includes 5 case fans and has USB 3)
I would love to hear ye're opinions, What kind of performance should I be expecting playing modern games at medium graphics settings. (Far Cry 3, TF2, Minecraft, GTA, Saints Row 3 etc.)
