Here is my problem. I have all top tier equipment and it is still performing like my old pc. some examples... Guild wars 2: 28-32 FPS on ultra Planetary Annihilation: 20-25 FPS Ultra settings an so on... pretty much all newer games at ultra settings Im getting around or lower then 30FPS. Which does not seem right for this equipment.
I have all up to date drivers and no viruses. One thing I do acknowledge about my set up is my heatsink is stock and needs to be upgraded but according to coretemp my cpu peaks at about 48C not overclocked.
My set up:
CPU: AMD FX-8350 4ghz
GPU: Diamond Radeon HD 7970 (overclocked)
MoBo: ASUS M5A99 pro R2
RAM: 8gb 12800mhz
PSU: 750W Corsair
Some people have suggested to me that my cpu may be getting to hot but after monitoring it does not get above 55C so throttling does not seem likely to me but I could be wrong. I went through it and reapplied thermal paste to be safe but to no avail.
The computer has long load times and has completely disappointed thus far after its recent completion. This is my first build so I am most likely overlooking something due to my inexperience. Any suggestions as to a solution would be greatly appreciated.
