Asus GT 620 or 630 upgrade resulting in poor display

Good evening all,

I just acquired an ASUS gt 620 (although the sticker on the board says 630, but I digress) and I installed it in to the PCIe port. This system has worked for me for years, and now, this graphics card is badly distorting the resolution and image, even after installing all of the possible updates provided by Windows Update. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I might be missing here.

1. Try updating drivers from nVidias website
2. Check your monitor and Video cable with another computer
3. Try a different video port
4. if all fails, return it to the store

Also, check if the resolution of the monitor is set to its native resolution

Hmm, true; it seems to be the same on multiple monitors, with multiple cables. It seems as though, while trying to run a Windows Experience Index evaluation, I've been getting the error that it could not measure video playback performance. I'll try the rest of the solutions listed as well. I'm also getting an error 35 from the Device manager.
