owned 3 tb western dig.external hard drive which started not communicating with the computer it was hooked up to unless i moved the patch cord around. Not wanting to lose the nearly 2 tb of files i had on the drive i pulled it from the case.I then installed it in a new out of the box dell tower that i purchased.Dell is running windows 8 which won't recognize the hard drive.device manager says the drive is working properly.I tried initializing the drive but it was already listed online.I verified the drivers,uninstalled and re installed to no avail.any ideas?
