hi guys

i wanted to know wether a gtx 780 sli or gtx 780ti and which would be better. i know the sli will have more power but I'm worried wether all games will take advantage of the sli and what the cons of the sli would be vs a single gpu

thanks guys

Ima have to recommend the single-gpu setup with having experience with the 780s in sli. Yes 2 780s will give you more frames per second but from what ive seen with micro-stutter and weird framedrops i honestly can say my 1 780 ran smooth at the same settings. At 1080p/1440p a single 780 even Ti will run games nicely and you wont have to worry bout sli issues that it brings.

To take advantage of a 780 in sli, you really need to be playing at 1440/1600p and/or a 3-monitor set-up at minimum. Otherwise a single card will suffice.

Single gpu's will run cooler/quieter and use less power. There are also less driver issues with using a single gpu, although nvidia is pretty good with two-card set-ups already.

Dual-gpu set-ups give anywhere from 60-80% more performance than a single card, but not all games even take advantage of 2+ cards.
