Hey guys, I have recently purchased parts for a new gaming PC that I am building on a budget. I will be recycling old parts from my current PC until I can afford other upgrades. I also have a few questions.

I plan on reusing my HDD from my current computer, is there anyway I can just wipe it clean and then boot Windows from there? This will save me from buying Windows correct?

And with no building experience, am I missing any parts?

AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor

Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

Azza Solano 1000 ATX Full Tower Case

Corsair Gaming 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (Old Computer.)

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Radeon XFX HD 6770 Graphics Card (From old computer)

Is there anything else I would need?

Good possibility you can just add the drive as is and it will pick up on the new hardware, run a registry cleaner to get rid of references to the old drivers and then re-authenicate if needed - it will let you know if you need to

You can start w/ the stock CPU cooler, but if any plans to OC, look to something like the Hyper 212 EVO, and what's your old mobo/CPU? may simply be able to install the drive as is with Win and all as is and Win7 can often adjust itself to the new hardware, then you clean out the old drivers, clean the registry and reauthenticate Win
