vertical temp/fan display

I've got a Corsair 540 case, it has vertical 5.25 bays.
Has anyone come across any vertical fan controllers or anything that has a vertical display of any kind?
Can any lcd displays be modded or changed?
Also, whilst i'm here, I have 2 Enermax T.B. Vegas radiator fans. They have switches that toggle through several lighting modes. Is there a simple way to wire these switches to a 5.25 bay device, maybe one with a dial or button?

Yeah, may well do. Was thinking of temperature monitoring as well though.

get core-temp, stick that widget on your desktop, save some cash

I just finished my first water cooling build. I want to add stuff for a good aesthetically pleasing finish.
Got the lights, colour matched fittings and want to polish it off with some fan/temp hardware.
May go for external NXZT Sentry LXE, also like the Lamptron FC-10 - though not quite practical enough.
Any links to making my own controller or modding bus bays (or whatever the term is)?
