What's the Best PC configuration for $1,500? like which parts should most of the money goes towards? and intel or AMD?

What's the Best PC configuration for $1,500? like which parts should most of the money goes towards? and intel or AMD? Note: this is for a college computer that should be adept at gaming, and general computer processing. (Heavy FPS and graphics)

Something like a GTX 760 would be good. I like having windows on a ssd. 64GB will do, but 120GB is better. You could probably even get a 24-256GB ssd and put some games on there too for instant saving/loading times. Also try to get either the i5 3570k or i5 4670k. The 4670k is newer and a little better, but the 3570k is usually cheaper.
