Just a quick question. I've been thinking of picking up a GX60 or GX70 from xoticpc.com. The laptop itself looks awesome, with a 8970m/7970m GPU, but the processor is an extremely underpowered AMD A10-5750m that bottlenecks the graphics card heavily. I was wondering whether it would be possible to get a different processor, or just find a new laptop altogether. As far as I know, the motherboard (AMD A76M) doesn't support non-AMD CPU's, but I'm no expert.
Thanks in advance

Of course it doesn't support Intel CPUs XD

What makes you so sure the CPU bottlenecks the GPU? - Mobile GPUs are a lot weaker than their desktop counterparts

I think you should read reviews of the product, should be on Anandtech :)

Yeah, that's what I figured. I read a bunch of reviews already, they all say the same thing. It looks good on paper, with the best AMD CPU and GPU, but unfortunately AMD CPUs are really really bad. The 8970m and 7970m are some of the best non-crossfire/SLI mobile graphics cards out there right now, but the A10 CPU just isn't enough to power it fully

Just got a GX60 and the A10 blows my old i5 away, in gaming, photoshop, and compiling. It's a beastly machine, plus there's an extra hard drive bay, which fixes what I consider to be the only weak point of the laptop, the 750GB hard drive. I picked up an identical one for $60-70 though, amazing value.
