Hello everyone,

I've recently - Friday - purchased a refurbished hard drive from my local computer store (Micro Center, Minnesota). I've installed the HDD and set it up in Windows and I'm wanting to use it primarily for storing my games so that I can keep my SSD nice and clean.
The issue that I'm having is this: I've attempted to install Battlefield 4 (I have yet to attempt to install any other programs) and several things have occurred during and after installation.

During Installation:

1.0: Computer completely freezes. USB devices won't repower when unplugged and plugged back in. I have to force a restart in this instance.

1.1: Program fails to install. I check my computer and the designated installation drive is no longer listed among my partitioned drives.

After Installation:

2: Program fails to launch (error: cx000000 [something along the lines of this; I can't remember the error title completely, but this is sufficiently close to what it was I take it]). This problem occurred after several installation attempts, the last of which obviously succeeded.

In light of the problems I've experienced after installation, I've opted to attempt a reinstall, the likes of which failed in accordance to problem 1.0 and 1.1 .

I've run an error scan on HD Tune Pro (v. 5.50) and roughly 50 errors have been found. Furthermore, HD tuner has reported the following: (05) Reallocated Sector Count; (C4) Reallocated Event Count; (C5) Current Pending Sector. I'm not sure what any of this means, however, as my computer know-how goes about as far as building a computer.

Several things to note:

+ I've managed to install Battlefield onto my SSD just fine, so I'm fairly positive that the program itself is not to blame.
++ Additionally, my SSD has run perfectly find since I've owned it, and I've had no stability issues withWindows.

+ These problems have occurred during long-term and short-term installation times.

+ I've reformatted the problematic HDD before attempting reinstalling.

+ I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit).

+ The problematic HDD is a 1TB Western Digital (not sure on what model; I may have mistakenly thrown away the packaging it came with, although I'm fairly positive it's lying around here somewhere; I can update this if need be when packaging is found).
