Hello there,

my name is Tom, and I'm a very very VERY big computer noob. I have basically a tiny bit more knowledge on things as opposed to the everyday person, but don't understand any technical and 'advanced' computer talk.

Anyways, I've just bought a brand new EVGA GTX 780 video card, and I've been having a crap ton of issues with it and I'm not sure if this is any easy fix, or if i have to return it.

I made a post on this forum weeks ago asking if it was okay for me to buy it based on my computer specs and I was told that I would be 100% fine. Although unfortunately now I am not.

My Specs:

CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i5-2500K 3.30 GHz 6M Intel Smart Cache LGA1155
HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Drive)
RAM: 8GB (2GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory (Kingston HyperX)
MOTHERBOARD: * [CrossFireX] Asus P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard
LucidLogix Virtu and Intel Smart Response Technology & 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN,
USB3.0, 2x SATA-III RAID,2 3 PCIe Gen2, 2 PCIe X1 & 2 3CI (All Venom OC
Certified)
POWERSUPPLY: 700 Watts - Standard Power Supply - SLI/CrossFireX Ready

Basically, i've installed it correctly and installed all the correct drivers and etc, and the card works fine, but only outside of games. Whenever I open a game such as Minecraft, I can run it perfectly fine no problem. But when I open a game such as Battlefield 4 or COD Ghosts and etc, it crashes within the first 20 seconds of me trying to play. I guess this is because those games are a lot more GPU intensive as opposed to Minecraft, but I have NO IDEA what is wrong and need desperate help. Here are a couple of pictures of my errors:

If someone could PLEASE help me if this is a simple fix, I don't know if I should return this card, if its faulty, or if its a PSU problem. Any help is appreciated - Tom

Splendid
I am almost sure your issues are from your PSU, so changing the PSU is definately your solution.
The GTX780 has an elevated max TDP of 250W, so you need a good branded certified 600W PSU with 42A on the +12v rail minimun(something like Seasonic,XFX,Corsair,Antec)
I see your PSU label does not specifies the +12v total wattage, thats is tipical on cheaper or generic PSUs, So never trust when that hapends.
