I was going to get a 120GB SSD to put my OS onto. But before I do I have a few questions.

1 - I could use samsung data migration but with this can I move just my OS from my HDD?

2 - Instead I could unplug my HDD plug in the SDD and install windows. But if I did this would my OS still be on the HDD as well taking up space?

Thanks

if you go for option 2 yes, the os will still be installed ALSO on the hdd. doesnt mean you have to use it. (and you can just delete c windows and c program files and you're set.

beware though, then all your personal data / programs need to be copied over manually to the ssd (my documents, desktop)

one thing though, make sure to physically unplug the hdd when you install the new os. and activate ahci mode in the bios. after that the win install knows what to do when it sees you have an ssd.
