Rebates? Who Is The "Actual Purchaser Of The Qualifying Product"?

Well, I'm nearly the rebate deadline for a couple of items I purchased, and I noticed this in the fine print. Normally I wouldn't worry about it, but I bought the items from my Newegg account using my father's CC (home for the holidays and left mine at school). So who is the purchaser, the name on the account or the name on the card? Just trying to sort this out, I've heard that certain companies can be very stingy when it comes to rebates, don't want to give them an excuse to deny mine.

As always, any help or advice is appreciated (I'm very new to rebates, so any warnings about common mistakes would also be helpful).

most are looking for the newegg sales slip and ups code. never put a credit card number on a slip. that why newegg and other online guys only show the last 4 numbers of the card used. if you used your dad cc put his name and add on the rebate paperwork as you used his cc.
