Hey guys, I've had some success with the community here before and need help with a build! I'm looking for a new home server build.
Budget: Around $900 would be preferable

Description: I'm primarily going to be using this as a home server managing a few computers for file storage and running a raspberry pi xbmc device. I'm also gonna be using it as a Linode VPS and running a few wordpress appache servers off of it. I don't need a ridiculous amount of storage but a good amount of movies, files and music would nice. I want to run a few small webservers, subsonic music server, and a few other apps but am unsure what chipset and other hardware I need (server parts vs consumer parts).

Would love the community help!

Thanks a bunch

This AMD FX 6 Core Build will run multi-threaded server tasks just fine (can be upgraded to an 8 core later on), and has 6 TB for use between the VPSes, the music server and anything else you may need. This system is also very reliable, and will last for quite a while. Server parts are for heavy duty 10 TB+ a day systems, while consumer parts aren't as highly calibrated or as well made, but still last for years.
