I want to know which is better for gaming experience, Higher AA or Higher Resolution

I have read many times that higher AA in 4k resolution will be a waste of raw power since the amount of detail you will get cannot be further improved by AA is it True???

Also one more thing, is AA any useful in resolutions 1080p and above like 1440p or 1600p or just a waste like power for your GPU??

I have HD 7950 Boost 3GB, should i buy a 1440p monitor or 1600p for better experience, will my gpu will be able to play games at ultra at these resolutions(i can play at ultra in all the games with my 1080p TV)

Solution
You'll need a better graphics card to maintain Ultra with good framerates at those resolutions.

Just settle with a 1080p IPS monitor. You don't need to get a 1440p or larger screen to get IPS.

Manufacturers like to boast fancy/superior features like contrast ratio. It's just marketing gimmick.
For a 7950, 1080p is the sweet spot with some AA enabled and Ultra in most games. A larger resolution will look nicer but you'd want a better card to maintain the graphics fidelity.

At 4k resolution the screen is so big that you have to sit too far from the screen to notice jaggies. So at that kind of resolutions you don't need AA anymore.

wouldn't i will be able play at 1440p or 1600p without AA at ultra settings or should just stick to my 1080p
well i was planning on buying a monitor because of IPS,RT and contrast ratio
