Building Gaming PC- Cyber Monday 600 dollar build suggestions?
Hi building my first gaming computer, I have a budget of 600 dollars. Since it's cyber monday I figured today would be the best time to do so. Suggestions?
You may wish to axe Windows temporarily (until you have the money) and use a free Linux distro like Ubuntu (there may be better ones out there, but Ubuntu is a good start). A lot of games don't have Linux ports, but that number is expanding. But if you want to play all of the big, AAA $60 titles, you're going to want Windows.
This system is built with some upgradability in mind; it won't evolve into a top-tier system, because if you buy too powerful a GPU, your system will be bottlenecked by the CPU. The choice of AMD FX processor came because you can overclock it to eek out some more performance for your money. That said, you'll want to buy an aftermarket CPU cooler like a Cooler Master 212 Evo.
Those prices are subject to change throughout the coming days, and that PC case is a very good value. I suggest you get it as soon as possible; Fractal Design cases are great.
Later on, when you have the money, you can slap in another R9 270. I didn't pick the X variant because that's just an overclocked version; you can overclock the 270 yourself with just a bit of education.
Can play bf3 on ultra. Good luck.
