G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series on P9X79 Pro?

I was looking into getting a P9X79 Pro, I already have a 3930K processor.
I see the Ripjaws Z series says "Quad channel memory designed for Intel LGA2011 and X79 systems," and the X series doesn't mention LGA2011 or X79 anywhere. I suppose that means my motherboard wouldn't support it?

Just had to ask. It's quite a bit cheaper right now.

Thanks for any help,
Chel

Is there any noticeable difference between the X and Z series for an X79?

DO not look at the actual names, look at the specs that tehy come with.

If you give exact models then I can tell you which are better.

Yeah the Zs are definitely NOT worth the price. Get 2 sets of Xs for a little more instead. :D

LOL 2 slow.

Thanks again for your help! :)
I deleted my post at first because I seen I linked four 2GB sticks instead of 4GB, and I was trying to hurry and change it. lol
