i'm planning on upgrading my pc and i'm not sure if Sapphire R9 270x is compatible with my current powersupply.

My powersupply is AcBel PC7013.
on the website it says that its output is 450w and its maximum is 510w.

does that mean the video card will work with the PSU? on the GPU's website it says it needs 500w power supply.

just wanted to be sure. thanks

considering the psu isn't from a known/trusted manufacturer i would advice you always be careful with the max wattage and either upgrade the psu to something properly certified or keep a wider margin for the total.

with that said, yes. based on specifications yes. it should work.

The 270x pulls up to 180w according to TDP. AMD and manufacturers always say a higher wattage requirement then actually needed, because they know many people have crap PSU or run lots of other stuff in the PC.

the sapphire card needs 2 6 pin connectors. even with 1 he'd be taking chances (slim but ... still) on a no name psu.

get it, try to set it, if it doesnt start/work properly (crashes/restarts/blue screens) have the cash to get also a psu.

the 270x exhausted my funds a "little" bit and I'm kinda short right now.

The PSU has 2 6 pin connectors btw.

I just might buy a new PSU anyway just to be safe . Don't wanna be damaging the card skimping on the PSU. any bang for the buck brands you might recommend?

AcBel is OEM, they used to build for some CoolerMaster and ASUS PSU models.
The 270x has a moderated max TDP of 180W, requires 24A on +12v 500W minimun, your PSU has 360W on 12v=30A, also taking into account AMD over-state their requirements, it should work, but you will be reducing the PSU lifespan significantly acording to your PC total power comsumption.
I recommend you a good 500W-600W branded certified PSU, for having more headroom on the near future, and possible upgrades too.
Something more like Seasonic,XFX,Corsair,Antec
