Wi-fi Settings Problem

So, I had a problem yesterday with my wi-fi and because one of the community moderators helped me, I could solve it. However, due to my limited knowledge in IT I stumbled upon another problem.

Long story short, yesterday I could not connect to my wireless router. Another wi-fi appeared with the same name, so it must have interfered with mine. Today, I started solving the problem and I found out that my wireless was actually the one that was sending both wi-fis. After an effort, I deleted one and changed the name and password for the other one. Problem looked solved, but my laptop was still finding one of the old wi-fis, with low signal even though my laptop was right next to the router. I used my phone to see what wi-fis I find and it found only my new wi-fi with the new SS-ID. In conclusion, I think some of my laptop settings may prevent the laptop from sensing those changes. I do not know.

Can someone please, tell me what settings I should probably check and where might the problem be? Also, if you need more information, please do tell me what to post. Due to my incompetence I may have not said important facts and info.

Thank you.
