My computer ran fine for over a year. Then the screen when jittery and I rebooted. When it came it failed the POST test with three short higher pitch beeps and one longer lower beep (four total). I can not find refference to this beep error pattern. Anyone have any ideas on what is going on?

There's a good chance it might be the MB. The memory slot or slots and/or the whole memory circuit in the MB. The memory controller? What MB and memory do you have? Try one stick at a time in each slot. Or better yet try another stick all together. One that you know is working, in each slot. If it works in a slot but not in another, it is probably the MB or the memory controller. AMD has the memory controller for each channel on the CPU.

Spooky,
I am traveling right now and get back on the weekend. I will try with the memory. I will also vacuum the entire board and clean all slots and connections. I will let you know how it goes. If it still does not run, then I will see about getting a new MB. I don't know if Lenovo boards can be replaced by anything but a Lenovo.

Thanks again,
Regards
