+1. Go for whatever is cheapest. However, some modern cards may offer better bang for buck, such as the R9 280X, or the GTX 770.

the mini wouldn't overclock as well because it has a shorter PCB

That isn't necessarily true. The card still has a very solid VRM design, but it would be limited by it's cripple cooler long before any power-based limitations.

Are you limited space wise in your case?
Yes -> Get the Mini
No -> Get a normal sized one

Very few cases, even ITX ones, cant support a decent length graphics card, I dont see much reason to be getting a smaller 670 considering its worse off cooling wise.

when tomshardware did a review on thr gtx 760 they found that all the full length pcbs overclockedmuch better than the shorter ones

670 mini = 670 in smaller size? Nothing more to add?

So what GPU would you recommend for around 250-300 bucks?

Thanks :p  I might be getting the Asus GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5! How well do you think this would run games like Battlefield 4 1080p Or Assassins Creed 4?

I'd say on highest settings HBAO, maybe 50 FPS in average for BF4, I don't know fo AC4 but it will be the same.

So back to his original point, overclocking is limited because of the smaller pcb. What is the point of your statement?
