This is the CPU i am looking to buy. I have 2 questions

1. My friend says (I am in computer science and engineering) AMD APU(s) are not good for the operation systems lab we have next semester(Sounds like a load of bs...... but I don't want to take anychances if he is true in someway). i.e. he says we need to program differently or something and I didn't understand a single word of what he said btw..(So is this true)..

And

2. Can I crossfire it with 6770?

That is all..
Thank you

Sound like he might have been talking to you about HSA which #1 is optional from a programming perspective and #2 not implemented in any current APUs. I think you'll be fine with one.

EDIT: Actually, if you're a computer science and engineering student, it may be in your best interest to learn about the new technology.
I'm not sure how to input on the programming aspect, but, in terms of crossfiring the iGPU with the GPU (AMD Dual Graphics) it's generally not recommended. All the quirks haven't been hammered out yet.

If you're intent on sticking to an FM2-type platform, either stick with the iGPU, or get an Athlon X4 and a discrete GPU instead.
