Ive got an fx 4170 @4.1ghz on stock cooling
was wondering if an Hp 480502-001 Dc2400m would allow me to overclock even to just 4.2ghz, since i have one just laying around somewhere.
basically would it be better than the amd stock cooler or not?
obv im going to buy a good cooler at some point

looks like it'd be similar to the stock AMD cooler. though for just an extra 100 mhz, even the stock cooler should be able to do that as long as you're not raising the voltage

yeah thought so, ah well.
@4.2ghz in certain CPU intensive games it would overheat and the fps would drop drastically while it cooled down
not sure ive applied the thermal paste optimally tbh, but i guess il just have to deal with my fps dropping from 250 to 240 occasionally in promod until i can be bothered to get a good cooler ^.^
