I have WD 1TB Black that have 3 partitions 1 for OS , 1 for games , 1 for other things (movies, songs ,etc...) but now I need more storage so I got 2 TB seagate barracuda and I will use it just for storage should I partition it or not ? and if yes suggest how many drives

Solution
I'm running all my games off of a 3TB barracuda. been doing this for 2 years without problems. the reason being that it's cheaper than WD black and WD black didn't have a 3TB version at the time.

I agree that WD black is more reliable, which is why I recommend keeping your OS and personal data files on it. at the end of the day reliability matters little when it comes to game storage imo. you just want a fast and cheap drive that is reasonably reliable. all modern PC games can be downloaded again and you can pop in discs to instal the older games. in the end it's up to you what you want to do. but personally reliability is pretty low on my list when I'm looking for a gaming drive
it's up to you. while partitioning will keep things cleaner, it does eat up a little bit of space.

what I would do is to move all your games to your new drive and make that a designated Gaming drive. delete the games partition on your old drive, and expand it for the Data partition where you keep your movies and songs etc

but the WD Black for games is more reliable than the barracuda due to reviews . what do you think about that ?

I never saw a very useful thing in partitions either,
Isn't that much safer as well, once the had fails, it pretty much fails.
I think its annoying to have so many partitions all the time, rather keep it all on one hdd

In windows disk management you can anyway always use some of the free space to make a new partition, even if its formatted or whatever
