I know there may be several threads about this, but my situation is a little different.
Basically the majority of the time I start up my PC it shows 8gb installed, 4gb usable, however sometimes when I boot up 8gb is usable (maybe 1 in 20 times)
Here's where it gets even more interesting, If I fiddle around in the bios (doing almost anything) and then boot up, it starts 8gb ram about half the time.
Ive tried reducing everything to stock, and checking/unchecking everything in the bios but with no luck (including remapping). I have tried re-seating and changing the ram also.
I just want it to boot up with 8gb all the time!
System:
FX 6300 (various clock settings tried)
M5a78-l mx v2 (flashed to 1302)
7870
8gb (2x4gb) Mushkin RAM
700w branded PSu
1x1tb seagate
1x500gb wd blue
Windows 7 64 bit
