I am trying a fresh install of XP Pro on a P5P43TD box. I've heard a lot about the F6 pre-installation using a floppy for the drivers. I do not have a floppy drive, will a Flash drive work? If not, how about a CD? (I've never removed the XP CD during an install process so I don't know if this would be a problem.)
The real problem I'm trying to solve is I have a new Samsung SSD, for the boot drive, but the Samsung software says I must have AHCI for this device to work. I would probably upgrade to Win 7 but then my office (and my older software) would have issues.
Your assistance would be very appreciated!
