Hi,

I am currently building my first gaming build and this is what I have so far:
PCPartPicker part list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2dwVV
Price breakdown by merchant: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2dwVV/by_merchant/
Benchmarks: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2dwVV/benchmarks/

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£168.94 @ Amazon UK)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (£23.98 @ Scan.co.uk)
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£109.04 @ Scan.co.uk)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£71.76 @ Scan.co.uk)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk (£69.95 @ Aria PC)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£49.00 @ Ebuyer)
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (Black/Orange) ATX Mid Tower Case (£80.89 @ Scan.co.uk)

As you can see there are only a few parts missing such as the GPU and power supply. Now my problem is that I don't know what graphic card to get for this build.

My graphic card requirements are:
* Play games like BF4 & Cod Ghosts on Ultra
* Play other modern games on ultra
* Not very expensive (such as £500)

My budget is about £250 but I don't mind going over it for a quality gpu.

And...that's it :D

Thank you :)

Yes, the 780 is good, but overkill if you are running a single screen at 1080p. The absolute highest end card you will need for a single 1080p setup would be a 770. And then you would need to use vsync on most games.

It's not that they are too old it's just for only $100 more you get so much more performance.
