I am thinking of getting a new desktop or laptop. Currently I have an LCD monitor that is NOT high def, so has no HDMI connection. How can I connect it to the new PC?

instead of telling us what it doesn't have, tell us what it does have.

If your video card has a VGA output, you should be fine. If not, I believe you can pick up HDMI-to-VGA or DVI-to-VGA adapters to use instead.

If you have the cash, though, you can probably pick up a new LCD or LED monitor for under $200 USD.

Does it have DVI? Model number?

Regardless of the connection you can connect it so long as the new computer has a video output. It may require adapters, it may not.
