I just bought a Belkin N150 wireless router for my home internet. Our old router was a Linksys 2.4 GHz, it worked splendidly for a few years until one day it just died. We then bought the belkin and we need to know if it should be able to handle all of the devices. We currently have three pc's two used for gaming, and four smartphones. Could this be a problem with out internet? We currently have Comcast. I tested the speed of our internet on http://www.speedtest.net/ and we have a ping of 32ms a download speed of 21.81mbps and upload speed of 5.83mbps. Could our internet be the problem too or is it just the router? or is it the router, is it good enough to handle the devices or is there a better suited one out there?

Well for starters its not working any better in fact its worse. And we have it enclosed in a desk/cabinet, is it okay in there or should I move it into a more open space?

If the enclosed space has metal, it can interfere with the outgoing signal. The new routers without external antennae tend to be directional as well. What is the signal strength indicators from the devices connecting? Also, check to see if you are using wireless G vs. wireless N.
