This is a little over my head on how processors go hand in hand with computers but I do understand the processor needs to be the same socket as the PC and it needs to be in the 100-130 $ range... lol

No. If you were lucky to have a good AMD 7 series motherboard you could update the BIOS to support the original AM3+ CPU's.

This is a low budget 785g motherboard with no updates since 2011 i think. You need a new motherboard or

look at buying a 'Phenom II' like Andy said. This would be the cheapest upgrade path with the best performance mark up.
