Hello everyone! I'm in the process of building a new gaming PC and I have most of the parts I want to use all figured out except for the case and the PSU. I'd like to hear any recommendations from you fine folks about parts I could use that would work well with what I already plan to purchase. I would like to have room to upgrade or overclock my machine in the future if possible. That being said, let me list the parts I already plan on using below.

  • 1x Intel Core i5-4670K Processor @ 3.4 GHz

    1x ASRock Z87 Extreme4 ATX Intel Motherboard

    1x Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

    1x G.Skill DDR3 PC3-12800 RipjawsX Series 8GB Dual Channel Kit RAM

1x Seagate Barracuda 2 TB SATA Internal HDD (I plan on installing an SSD later on.)

1x LG Electronics 24X SATA Super-Multi DVD Internal Rewriter

Thanks in advance!

For PSU I would recommend the HX750 if you plan on sticking with one card, the HX850 if you plan on adding a second. Both will give you a reasonable amount of headroom; although the 750 will give you more if you stick with one card.

Case, well, I usually leave that up to the person building the PC as it's more of a personal preference.

I would recommend possibly upgrading to a r9 280X if your budget allows it, but if not that's completely fine too.

Okay, I may lean more towards the HX850 because the motherboard has the capability to support multiple cards/overclocking and its something I may attempt in the future.
