Your thoughts on a few good games

I am looking for some feedback from you guys on a good PC game or 2. I like RPG and FPS type games. I would prefer something that doesn't have the always online issues. The last RPG game I was playing was Skyrim and those types of games are stuff I like. I just haven't read anything new coming out lately.

Something out in the last year max. I have seen most of the other games or played them.

Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 3, Kingdoms Of Amalur, Witcher 2 ( the first Witcher game was not that good in my opinion but you can try is out) . Also try Dark souls , a very difficult but amuzing game ( if you remove some occasional ragequits :p ).
What else ... consider the Mass Effect series or Dragon Age series, but they are kinda different because they involve a lot of dialongue and desicion making.
And if you want to try some classic legends you can go Baldur's Gate series or Neverwinter Nights series . But these games have so many things to do and consider that they make the new RPG games look like children toys in case if complexity and deepness! The graphics are old though .

I am looking for something in the last year, 2 at max. I have played Mass Effect and Dragon Ag, BG, NWN. I will look into the other ones.

Borderlands 2 is a good mix of FPS and RPG, I have been enjoying it quite a bit. FarCry 3 is a good open world shooter. If you enjoyed Skyrim and have not played Oblivion it is also great, with an amazing modding community.

I haven't played Borderlands 1 or 2. I have played Oblivion though :)

My game of the year, every year choice right now would be Chivalry Medieval Warfare. The start (for me at least) wasn't that great. Then I took a break from it after about 30 or so hours. One day i came back and noticed how great of a game it was. Now i have spent 446 hours on it and the number keeps going up!
