I've got a home built computer with a GTX 660 2gb graphics card, and with my recent acquisition of Assassin's Creed 4 I've decided the time has come to upgrade. Originally my plan had been to just get a second 660 and put them in SLI when this time came, but with the 700 series out, I'm having trouble deciding, do I continue with SLI or do I look for a new card altogether? According to http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/ the 670 is almost identical to the 760, but noone compares any cards in SLI, so which is the best bang (no pirate related pun intended) for your buck? I'd like to keep it under $400, which rules out behemoths like the 780 ti, but leaves room for the 770.

P.S. while I'm asking, any preferences for thermal paste? It's time to clean my heat sink.

You can't really go wrong with any thermal paste, but I believe people would recommend Arctic Silver 5.

SLI 660s should be about on par with a 680, but I would recommend going with the single GPU solution in the 770.
