^That is my motherboard. I currently have 2 1TB mechanical HDDs installed with one Intel 320 series 120GB SSD. In the next day or two I'm looking to uninstall the two mechanical HDDs and just go all SSD. Keeping the Intel installed and putting in two new Samsung 840 Pro SSD's.

If I'm reading the specs right there on Newegg, it would appear my MOBO supports SATA 3 but I just wanted to confirm with the community here that what I'm trying to do is possible on the motherboard.

it's a bad idea to raid the ssd-s. i'm guessing that's why you want 2. the problem with raid ssd-s is that the raid controller wont forward trim requests. which will decrease their lifetime. instead, get a bigger ssd. as size increases they already do something similar to the raid internally.

I do not plan to raid the SSDs. The idea is to keep things seperate. Windows, Steam, and some of my Steam games on one SSD. Some DRM free games from GOG and Humble Bundle on the other. The Intel SSD will become a gameplay recording drive for FRAPS, Action etc
